GRAVEL
Large gravel
deposits have been increasingly difficult to find in New Hampshire.
Most have been excavated over the decades for use in construction
projects, and many have become unavailable by development. This
location offers premium quality aggregate with permits in
place. A Site Specific Permit (allowing for the expansion of the project area)
has been issued by the NH Department of Environmental Services.
This is truly
a unique property for operators looking to own an increasingly
important resource, as New Hampshire’s growth will demand the asset
for the upcoming years.
Recent
topographic maps are available for inspection. They were developed
using photogrammetric methods, and illustrate contours at a two foot
contour interval. The detail allows one to identify the eskers which
likely will yield the majority of the aggregate reserves. It was
reported by the contracted engineer that approximately 1.5 million
cubic yards of quality material remain.
